The Global Space-based Inter-Calibration System (GSICS) initiated by WMO and the Coordination Group for Meteorological Satellites ( CGMS) enables to provide users with consistent well-calibrated measurements from the international constellation of operational meteorological satellites, see the GSICS portal operated by WMO for more details. GSICS consists of several Processing and Research Centers (GPRC). The SRC "Planeta" under Roshydromet (The Federal Service for Hydrometeorology and Environmental Monitoring) contributes within the GSICS framework as a GPRC for Russian Meteorological Satellites including polar-orbiting "Meteor-M" series and geostationary "Electro-L" series.
